Khutbah Regarding The Good Deeds in the Day of Iydul Fitr and the Month of Shawwal

It was narrated on the authority of Ibnu Umar (radiyalalhu anhuma) that he said:

Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) enjoined the payment of one Sa' of dates or one Sa' of barley as Zakatul Fitr on every Muslim slave or free, male or female, young or old, and he ordered that it be paid before the people went out to offer the (Iyd) prayer. (Bukhari, Hadith no: 1503)

It was narrated on the authority of Abu Ayyub al-Ansari (radiyallahu anh) that he heard Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) as saying:

He who observed the fast of Ramadhan and then followed it with six (fasts) of Shawwal. It would be as if he fasted perpetually. (Muslim, Hadith no: 1164)

Allah Ta'ala states:

And be steadfast in prayer and regular in charity (the poor-due): And whatever good ye send forth for your souls before you, ye shall find it with Allah. For Allah sees Well all that ye do. (al-Baqarah 2/110)
Shaykhul Islam Ibnu Taymiyyah (rahimahullah) said:

"All statements that had been said by the Mutaakhirrin (latter ones) differing from the Mutaqaddimin (predecessors) and that had not been previously mentioned by any other, is a mistake. As Imam Ahmad ibn Hanbal (rahimahullah) said:

"Refrain from speaking about a matter without an Imam!.." (Ibnu Taymiyyah, Majmaul Fatawa, 21/291)

Bismillh,

Just a Reminder!
Shaykh'ul Islm Ibnu Taymiyyah (Rahimahullh) stated,

"The lim (scholar) recognizes the Jhil (ignorant) since he was once a Jhil. The Jhil does not recognize the lim since he has never been an lim." (Shaykh'ul Islm Ibnu Taymiyyah, Majm'ul Fatw, 13/235)
