« on: 01.09.2017, 04:29:38 AM »
Khutbah Regarding the Fadhilah (Virtues) of Hamd and Shukr

Allah Ta’ala states:

“Then do ye remember Me; I will remember you. Be grateful to Me, and reject not (Faith).” (al-Baqarah 2/152);

“And remember! Your Rabb (Lord) caused to be declared (publicly): If ye are grateful, I will add more (favors) unto you; but if ye show ingratitude, truly My punishment is terrible indeed.” (Ibrahim 14/7)

It was narrated on the authority of Abu Hurayrah (radiyallahu anh) that Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) said:

“Every important matter that does not start with praise of Allah, is devoid (of blessings).” (Ibnu Ma’jah, Hadith no: 1969);

It was narrated on the authority of Abu Hurayrah (radiyallahu anh) that he said that Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) said:

“Every important matter which is not begun by an expression of praise to Allah is maimed.” (Abu Dawud, Hadith no: 4840)

It was narrated on the authority of Abu Musa al-Ashari (radiyallahu anh) that Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) said:

“When a child of the slave (of Allah) died, Allah Ta’ala says to the angels: Have you taken the fruits of his work. They reply: Yes. So He Ta’ala  says: What did My slave say? They reply: He praised You and mentioned Istirja’ (that to You is the return). So Allah Ta’ala says: Build a house in Jannah (Paradise) for My slave, and name it Bayt’ul Hamd (The House of Praise)!” (Tirmidhi, Hadith no: 1021)

Allah Ta’ala states:

“Say: Praise be to Allah, who begets no son, and has no partner in (His) dominion: Nor (needs) He any to protect Him from humiliation: yea, magnify Him for His greatness and glory!” (al-Isra 17/111);

“(This will be) their prayer therein: Glory to Thee, O Allah!, and Peace! will be their greeting therein and the end of their prayer will be: Praise be to Allah, the Cherisher and Sustainer of the Worlds!”(Yunus 10/10)

It was narrated on the authority of Anas (radiyallahu anh) that Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) said:

“Indeed Allah Ta’ala is pleased with the slave who, upon eating his food praises Him for it (by saying al-hamdu lillah) or drinking his drink, he praises Him for it.” (Muslim, Hadith no: 2734; Tirmidhi, Hadith no: 1816)
Shaykh'ul Islâm Ibnu Taymiyyah Rahimahullâh said,

"All statements that had been said by the Muta'akhirrűn (latter ones) differing from the Mutaqaddiműn (predecessors) and that had not been previously mentioned by any other, is a mistake. As Imâm Ahmad bin Hanbal Rahimahullâh said,

"Refrain from speaking about a matter without an Imâm!.." (Ibnu Taymiyyah, Majmű'ul Fatâwâ, 21/291)
