Tonight, on the 29th of Jumâd'al Ûlâ (03/01/2022), the Hilâl (crescent moon) of Jumâd'al Âkhirah 1443 H was observed and has been sighted by a group of Muwahhidûn around the globe..اَللهُ أَكْبَرُ، اَللَّهُمَّ أَهِّلْهُ عَلَيْناَ بِاْلأَمْنِ وَاْلإِيماَنِ، وَالسَّلاَمَةِ وَالإِسْلاَمِ، وَالتَّوْفِيقِ لِماَ تُحِبُّ رَبَّناَ وَتَرْضَى، رَبُّناَ وَرَبُّكَ اللهُ"Allâh is the Most Great!.. O Allâh, bring us the Hilâl (crescent moon) with security and Îmân (faith) with peace and in Islâm and in harmony with what our Lord loves and what pleases Him. (O Hilâl) our Lord and your Lord is Allâh!.." (at-Tirmidhî, 5/504; ad-Dârimî, 1/336)
Therefore, the 1st of the Month of Jumâd'al Âkhirah 1443 H will fall on 04/01/2022. Wallâhu A'lam!
Correction: We had completed last month to thirty days since we were unable to sight the Hilâl. Today (03/01/2022) should have been the 28th of Jumâd'al Ûlâ according to our calendar. However, since we saw the Hilâl tonight, the month of Rabî'ul Âkhir will be considered 29 days. Therefore, 03/01/2022 corresponds to the 29th of Jumâd'al Ûlâ, and 04/01/2022 corresponds to the 1st of Jumâd'al Âkhirah. Wa's Salâm.
